CAMP GUIDELINES
GOAL: Our goal is to produce happy campers while building self-esteem, good sportsmanship and creativity.
TUITION: Tuition is due at time of enrollment. The cost for a full day camp is $175.00 per week. Extended care is available for $25.00 per week. Extended care fees are waived for current Seal Swim School clients. Campers must be picked up no later than 6:00pm. $1.00 per minute late fee will be assessed for every minute after 6:00pm.
DAYS AND HOURS: Camp Seal runs weekly from June 11th – August 17th. Full day camp hours are 8:30am-4:00pm. Extended care hours are available 7:30am-8:30am and 4:00pm-6:00pm. Campers must be picked up no later than 6:00pm. $1.00 per minute late fee will be assessed for every minute after 6:00pm.
RETURN CHECK POLICY: If a check is returned for any reason, a $25.00 fee will be charged to your account. Once notified, payment is due immediately. Non-payment will result in your camp week being cancelled.
WITHDRAWAL POLICY: Withdrawal forms must be received 14 days prior to the week of withdrawal for a full refund. Withdrawal forms received less than 14 days prior to the week of withdrawal will result in a $75.00 withdrawal fee per child, with the remaining payment refunded. If your child is withdrawn after the start of a week the entire payment will be forfeited.
NO REFUNDS/NO MAKE-UPS: We do not offer refunds or make-ups for missed days. Our staff is here for you everyday.
PICK UP POLICY: For your child’s safety, parents and guardians must sign in and out each day and provide a picture I.D. when picking children up from camp. Campers can only be released to parents by the Camp director or supervisor.
HEALTH: Please tell the Director if your child has any medical problems, allergies, disabilities or fears. Please do not bring a sick child to camp. This includes severe yellow or green secretions, pink eye, fever etc. If your child displays any of these or other symptoms, it may be necessary to send your child home from camp. If your child has a fever, he/she may not return to camp until he/she is fever free for 24 hours.
CLOTHING: Please wear old clothes and tennis shoes everyday and provide a swim bag or back pack with your child’s name on it. Children should wear a swimsuit underneath their clothing everyday. Campers need to pack 2 towels, water bottle, crocs or some type of water shoe, and sunscreen. Please put sunscreen on your child before coming to camp. Sunscreen will be reapplied throughout the day as needed. A word to the wise “LABEL EVERY THING!!!!”
SNACK: Afternoon snacks will be provided each day during camp. If your child has special dietary needs or food allergies, please provide an appropriate snack.
LUNCH: Lunch is not provided. Your child will need to bring a lunch everyday. Please do not pack glass bottles or jars in your child’s lunchbox. If your child forgets his/her lunch, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a piece of fruit and chips will be provided.
PERSONAL ITEMS: Electronic devices are not permitted. (cell phones, video games, trading cards and personal sports equipment). Seal Swim School is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
PHOTO WAIVER: I understand that my child’s photograph may be taken during his/her participation at Camp Seal and I give permission for Camp Seal to use photos for publicity purposes such as the Camp website and for display at Seal Swim School or Camp Seal.
INFORMED CONSENT and LIABILITY WAIVER:
In consideration of permitting my child/children to participate in camp activities at Camp Seal, I hereby voluntarily release, waive, and relinquish any and all actions for personal injury arising as a result of participating in such programs. I understand, agree and acknowledge that there are risks inherent in the sports and activities conducted by Camp Seal. With the full understanding of these facts, I state that to the best of my knowledge, my child(ren) listed on this application has no medical, physical or emotional condition which would hinder or prevent his/her participation in any Camp Seal program. I have stated above any conditions that Camp Seal needs to be aware of (diabetes, epilepsy, fainting, hearing problems, nosebleeds, speech problems, braces/retainers, asthma, special diet, allergies, contact lenses/glasses etc.)
MEDICAL EMERGENCY:
In the event of a medical emergency, I hereby grant authorization to Camp Seal and its representatives to contact our doctor/physician and that my child is to be transported to the hospital of our preference in the event I can not be reached. If no doctor/physician or hospital is preferred, I authorize Camp Seal to employ any legally licensed physician or health care facility and to direct and order emergency medical treatment for my child(ren).
Disabilities:
If your child has a disability, physical limitation, or otherwise under a doctor’s care, you must disclose this condition to Seal Swim School. This disclosure is necessary because of serious health risks to your child, other children and staff that may result from your child’s condition. If your child is under a physician’s care while at camp, you must provide Seal Swim School with a doctor’s release permitting your child to participate in camp.
Medications:
All medications must be accompanied by a doctor’s note with detailed instructions. An authorization form will be available for parents on the first day of camp each week. Children that may need an Epi-Pen will need to bring in a doctor’s note and sign a release authorizing Camp Seal Staff to administer the Epi-Pen.
